I Hate Scales!
I am terrible about waiting a week to weigh in, so, a few days ago, I stepped on the scale to see how things were going. It said I had lost 3 pounds, I was thrilled! So, I stepped on this morning and it said I had gained a pound.
Now, if I hadn’t weighed in between, I would have been excited about a 2 pound loss, but now it is overshadowed because I feel like I gained a pound, instead of losing two. I am going to weigh again tonight because the first time I weighed was at night time. My DH said he wasn’t going to weigh until next week because the first week is mostly water weight anyway and he feels it is discouraging to see a big loss the first week and a smaller loss the second week. In light of my weigh in this morning, I think my DH is a smart, smart man for not weighing. The sad thing is I was feeling pretty good about the week I had and felt like I was losing weight. I am trying really hard not to let this discourage me. I mean even if I only lost 2 pounds a week, I would be at goal before the end of the year.
I did some exercise!! Instead of getting in line to pick up my child today, I parked down the street from the school and walked over to pick him up. It felt really good to get out and walk!
I hope everyone has a great day.
Statistic:
37% of adults report they are not physically active. Only 3 in 10 adults get the recommended amount of physical activity. (source: http://www.fitness.gov/resources_factsheet.htm)
Your blog title caught my attention b/c I say I hate scales all the time!!!!!! LOL!!! Infact, I actually put my scale away at home (it was becoming a very frustrating experience!!!) and I only weigh every 2 weeks at my Dr’s office. So far, that is working much better!!
Best wishes!
Just wanted to say welcome and good luck and I feel your pain with the scale!!!!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates scales.
